“Man, I work a full-time job, have a family, and hardly get to ride during the week. I’ll never see the front of a cross race.” Sound familiar? If so, then you probably race cross for fun and camaraderie. Rarely do you look at the prizelist because, frankly, “Who cares? I’m not going to win anyway.” Well, here at MSG, we know you race hard and want to reward you for your efforts, so new for 2007 is the Position Of the Day.

At the end of each race, the P.O.D. (Position Of the Day) will be randomly chosen from the official result sheet and will be awarded to a racer outside of the top 5 in each category. Let’s say you are racing CX4’s and finish 24th. You’re well outside the top 5 but thanks to the P.O.D., you still have a shot at winning something. Granted, it probably won’t be a Chris King headset or an AlphaQ fork, but we want to reward you for coming out, racing hard, and finishing. You can pick your P.O.D. award up the next week at registration. The P.O.D. - yet another reason to race cross’.
